This will be a blog where I share my art-related writing. There will be links to my published writing elsewhere, musings/reviews/thoughts on art-related matters, and original art writing produced for my classes. I graduated in spring 2019 from Kendall College of Art & Design (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a BS in Art History and minor in Museum Studies. I am currently in an MA program in Visual and Critical Studies and in the process of applying for an MFA in Drawing. I am also a well published writer and an independent artist.

I am deeply concerned with how to make art, art spaces, and art writing more accessible to the wider populace. For this reason, you will see that my academic writing is (hopefully) relatively plain language. You will also see that a lot of my writing focuses on how welcoming an art space was or could be, what efforts were made to help viewers engage with and understand the work, and literally whether things are accessible to people with disabilities, fat people, poor people, people without art backgrounds, children, and people of color.
